The Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones are returning to Titan Comics for a brand-new adventure ahead of the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who.
Doctor Who: Once Upon a Time Lord sees Martha get captured by fiery creatures known as the Pyromeths, forcing her to spin some yarns about the Doctor’s adventures across time and space to stop them from feasting on her. Whovians can expect cameos from numerous iterations of the great Time Lord, as well as appearances from notable enemies such as the Daleks and Cybermen.
Meanwhile, the 64-page graphic novel also includes a story about Rose Tyler and the Ninth Doctor, who were famously portrayed by Billie Piper and Christopher Eccleston on the BBC television series. It seems like a love letter to various eras for the franchise, which is only fitting considering that the franchise is about to enter its sixth decade.

The new graphic novel comes from the imagination of the Eisner Award-winning writer Dan Slott, whose other credits include Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man, She-Hulk, and The Mighty Avengers. Acclaimed artists Christopher Jones, Matthew Dow Smith, and Mike Collins have also provided some eye-catching visuals and interior artwork.
The Tenth Doctor is one of the most celebrated iterations of the Time Lord, and the upcoming release will showcase him in some untold adventures. Of course, the actor who played the character on the screen, David Tennant, will reprise the role in the upcoming 60th-anniversary specials before Ncuti Gatwa inherits the TARDIS and sonic screwdriver for the foreseeable future.
Doctor Who: Once Upon a Time Lord arrives on November 7, 2023. It is currently available to pre-order from a variety of outlets.
