British Horror Studio launches the Kickstarter pre-launch campaign for a new anthology inspired by H. P. Lovecraft starring Megan Tremethick
In breaking news, British Horror Studio has announced the forthcoming sequel to its horror anthology For We Are Many, with a new Kickstarter pre-launch campaign now live for For We Are Many 2: Lovecraft.
The original anthology introduced audiences to a collection of supernatural tales from filmmakers across the independent horror world. Few might have expected a direct sequel, but the enthusiastic early response to the new campaign suggests that its proposed journey into the fiction of H. P. Lovecraft has already captured the imagination of genre enthusiasts.
The project is being produced through Hex Studios, now operating as part of British Horror Studio and continuing its tradition of ambitious, classically inspired horror. Previous Hex Studios productions include The Devil’s Machine and The Unkindness of Ravens, as well as the recently completed Gothic film noir Black Chariot, starring Megan Tremethick and Laurence R. Harvey. Hex Studios was also the production company behind The Devil’s Machine, originally released under the title Automata.

A New Generation of British Horror Filmmakers
The new anthology will feature segments directed by several artists associated with British Horror Studio.
Megan Tremethick will both star in and direct material for the film, while writer and Hex Studios co-founder Sarah Daly will make her directorial debut. The anthology will also include work from Tom Staunton, who appeared in the Hex Studios production Ghost Crew, and Oliver Revie, co-director of Mr Whispers.
The announced cast includes Megan Tremethick, (who recently defended acting as a craft) Michael Daviot of Amicus Productions’ In the Grip of Terror, Stephen Kerr of Spoiling You and Andrew Gourlay of The Reign of Queen Ginnarra.
Further cast members associated with the original Hellraiser and The Human Centipede films are expected to be revealed as the campaign develops.

Megan Tremethick as Randi Carter
The campaign announcement is accompanied by a striking new series of portraits featuring Megan Tremethick as a character named Randi Carter.
She appears in a segment directed by Lawrie Brewster which, judging from the character’s name and the campaign’s Lovecraftian theme, appears to draw inspiration from H. P. Lovecraft’s celebrated short story The Statement of Randolph Carter.
The film will also feature a wraparound story designed to unite its individual tales. In keeping with the great British portmanteau horrors of Amicus Productions, the connecting sequence promises a final twist. After all, what would an Amicus-inspired anthology be without one?

Follow the Campaign
Supporters of independent cinema, British horror and the studio’s deliberately anachronistic approach to classic genre filmmaking can now follow the project through its official Kickstarter pre-launch page.
Those who sign up will be notified when the full campaign launches in the coming weeks, with Blu-rays, digital editions and other rewards expected to be made available to backers.
For admirers of cosmic horror, Gothic cinema and the grand British anthology tradition, the Old Ones may soon be stirring once again.
